Views on the rand’s outlook differ. While Standard Bank says it remains “constructive” on the currency, HSBC Holdings Plc analysts including David Faulkner and Murat Toprak say “there is little light at the end of the tunnel,.The rand completed the “golden cross” technical pattern, with its 50-day moving average crossing above the 200-day mean, which some traders see as a buy signal. The last time this happened, in July 2016, the currency gained 7 percent in the following three weeks. A similar cross between 50 DMA and 100 DMA took place last week..However, another pattern based on the Fibonacci sequence has proved more difficult to clear. The currency is close to retracing 50 percent of the slump between 2011 and 2016. If it does so, the rand may climb to as high as 10.89 per dollar. But if the resistance proves too strong, it may fall back to 13.57..On Tuesday, the currency briefly crossed the milestone only to fall back.

Ramaphosa – false promises and misrepresentation, old apartheid voices... ..Zuma will fight to the bitter end to restore his pride and honour... ..Currency is all about confidence. New future president is a business man and the market love it. The market believes he can make miracles out of the South African economy and end corruption... ..Why hasn’t anyone questioned how Ramaphosa made his money making him one of the richest persons in the country in the past 20 years. Why doesn’t anyone ask him why his fundraisers promised contract and deals if they donated money to his campaign? If he is against corruption, why hasn’t anyone questioned the choice of Deputy President?..Despite all answered questions, the ZAR has strengthen based on the fact it can’t become worse and the fact Ramaphosa speaks the lingo of an European white person representing the Stellenbosch mafia.

The reason why Cyril is not being scrutinized is because he has never been implicated. Non of the accusations involve him at this stage. He will be under the lens soon enough. The ANC is fighting for survival. If Zuma is removed and disrespected he is going to expose the majority is them and it will sink the party. I think something huge is coming.

Why is Zuma so quiet, it doesn’t make sense that he would listen to all the accusations and be quiet.   I believe he is a part of the older school and he hoped that his ANC comrades would see through Ramaphosa’s dressed-up show but he misjudged the situation. Having been part of politics for so long, I’m sure that he must have a playbook that he never intended to use but now when his honour and pride is in question, he is still in doubt to use it but his comrades and opposition parties are forcing him to use it. I believe that several high-profile people will go down before Zuma steps down.   I wouldn’t be surprised to see the USDZAR at 15-18 before Zuma steps down.
