Fortum Oyj, together with its subsidiaries, engages in the generation and sale of electricity and heat in Finland, Sweden, the Netherlands, Ireland, Denmark, Belgium, the United Kingdom, Switzerland, Spain, France, Germany, Norway, and internationally. It operates in Generation and Consumer Solutions segments. The Generation segment generates power through nuclear, hydro, onshore wind, and solar resources; and offers district heating and cooling, and decarbonization services. The Consumer Solutions segment offers invoicing and customer services; and electricity and related value-added products, as well as digital services for consumers and small- and medium-sized enterprises. The company is involved in the electricity and gas retail business. Fortum Oyj was incorporated in 1998 and is headquartered in Espoo, Finland.
