until financials are positive, there is gonna be no serious upward movement....price may even go sub 20 and stay slow....let's hope midyear result shows serious change in earnings...still a good buy,

I think there's just a lot of concern out there with the FED and interest rate hikes. The JSE All share is down -3.39% as i speak. Stocks are being hammered incl Labat.

I wonder if all this changes are going to make a difference, labat doesn't have a good track record, but to do be first on the scene publicly with the ***industry in SA gives me a little hope. However we are so late to the game.

  • Why Chris @Why Chris
Labat says it wants to be involved in every part of the cannabis value chain, from genetics to retail and dispensary. Now it has partnered with the CSIR to ramp up the processing of hemp as well as the commercialisation of medicinal cannabis.

Cannabis win: Changes South Africa’s proposed cannabis laws have been tabled in parliament, which will enable the government to push ahead with its plan to establish a new industrial sector valued at R28 billion a year. Lawmakers hope to pass the amendments to the Cannabis for Private Purposes bill by the end of April. The move follows an announcement by President Cyril Ramaphosa in the latest State of the Nation address that the government was ready to push toward the legalisation and regulation of the commercial cannabis industry, which he said could create 130,000 jobs. Unfortunately market did not respond to this and thus share priced still in the dumps, only thing now that will move share price north, is a seriously positive balance sheet, and possible div declarations.....Labats track history is not brilliant and just because the in the cannabis field does not make the automatically business savvy....takes much more to run a business than just to be a participant in a certain field......

There is alot of uncertainty on how far russia sanctions will go and Also, the Fed rate hike in this month. So mabe the ship is still docking, because the sea out there is rough. Also, we dont want to take off too fast as we saw what happened to the Titanic!
