Yunnan Aluminium Co., Ltd. manufactures and sells aluminum in China. It operates through three segments: Alumina, Primary Aluminum, and Other. The Alumina segment mines and purchases bauxite and other raw materials; produces bauxite into alumina; and sells alumina. The Primary Aluminum segment is involved in purchasing alumina and other raw materials, auxiliary materials and electricity; electrolyzing alumina to produce primary aluminum; and production and sales of carbon products, aluminum alloys and other electrolytic aluminum products. The Other segment provides logistics services; and involved in alumina trading. The company offers cast aluminum alloy ingots; deformed aluminum, and aluminum alloy round and flat ingots; aluminum foil products; aluminum and aluminum alloy sheets and strips; aluminum and aluminum alloy welding materials; aluminum alloy welding wire; and electrician round aluminum pole. In addition, it provides aluminum ingots for remelting/refined aluminum ingots for remelting, metallurgical grade alumina, carbon for aluminum, and aluminum home furnishings, as well as engages in sales and service activities. Its products are used in transportation, construction, electricity, machinery manufacturing, aerospace, electronics, electrical appliances, and packaging industry The company was formerly known as Yunnan Aluminum Plant and changed its name to Yunnan Aluminium Co., Ltd. The company was founded in 1970 and is headquartered in Kunming, China.
