At one point or another, throughout all of our lives, we have thought about what our dream houses would look like. Where would it be? How big would it be? What amazing facilities would be found within it? Although only the wealthiest people in the world are able to find out the answers to these questions, there’s nothing stopping us from having a peak at how those in high society choose to live.

As we’ll soon see, when it comes to ridiculously expensive penthouses, size doesn’t always matter, sometimes it’s all about location. But most of the time it does. Here’s a look at a few of the most amazingly designed and breathtakingly beautiful penthouses from around the world…

The mountains to one side are closely rivaled in beauty by the sea and the port to the other.
