Investing.com - Alaska Air reported on Thursday third quarter earnings that beat analysts' forecasts and revenue that topped expectations.

Alaska Air announced earnings per share of $2.53 on revenue of $2.83. Analysts polled by Investing.com anticipated EPS of $2.39 on revenue of $2.81B.

Alaska Air shares are down 19% from the beginning of the year and are trading at $41.85 , down-from-52-week-high.

Alaska Air follows other major Industrials sector earnings this month

Alaska Air's report follows an earnings missed by Lockheed Martin on Tuesday, July 19, 2022, who reported EPS of $1.16 on revenue of $15.45B, compared to forecasts EPS of $1.88 on revenue of $15.98B.

ABB ADR had missed expectations on Thursday with third quarter EPS of $0.19 on revenue of $7.41B, compared to forecast for EPS of $0.38 on revenue of $7.39B.
