Beyond Meat (NASDAQ:BYND) chief brand officer Beth Moskowitz has left the company, according to The Wall Street Journal, which has seen internal company communications.
Moskowitz's departure is the latest shake-up for the struggling plant-based meat firm. In the past year, its stock has tumbled more than 77%, and various top executives and hundreds of employees have left as it aims to stabilize the business.
The Wall Street Journal said Ms. Moskowitz told BYND employees on Wednesday that it was her last day but that she remains a strong supporter of the company.
The publication quoted Moskowitz as saying that she looks forward to returning to her roots as an investor, advisor, and creative partner. However, she added that the most important factor was "the opportunity to be totally present for the many milestones my family will celebrate in 2023 and the coming years."
A Beyond spokeswoman did not provide a comment to the WSJ on Moskowitz's departure but told them Beyond has hired an executive to lead global marketing for the company, and they will begin work in early February.
