British American Tobacco Earnings miss, Revenue beats In Q4

Investing.com - British American Tobacco (JO: SNHJ ) reported on Friday fourth quarter earnings that missed analysts' forecasts and revenue that topped expectations.

British American Tobacco announced earnings per share of £1.51 on revenue of £13.51B. Analysts polled by Investing.com anticipated EPS of £173.81 on revenue of £13,324M.

British American Tobacco shares are up 23.23% from the beginning of the year and are trading at £3,368.5 , down-from-52-week-high.They are outperforming the TR UK 50 which is up 4.95% from the start of the year.

British American Tobacco's report follows an earnings matched by Diageo on Thursday, January 27, 2022, who reported EPS of £0.837 on revenue of £7.96B, compared to forecasts EPS of £0.837 on revenue of £6,271M.

Ocado had beat expectations on Tuesday with fourth quarter EPS of £-0.2046 on revenue of £1.18B, compared to forecast for EPS of £-17.9 on revenue of £1,285M.
