British burger chain GBK enters administration says S.African owner Famous Brands

JOHANNESBURG, Oct 14 (Reuters) - South African restaurant owner Famous Brands Ltd FBRJ.J said on Wednesday its British-based unit Gourmet Burger Kitchen (GBK)has entered into administration after the group's decision to no longer provide any further financial assistance.

Administrators have accordingly been appointed and have assumed control of GBK and its UK subsidiaries. Options available to the administrators "may include an insolvent sale of the business and assets," Famous Brands said in a statement.
