IEA report with oil prices at record highs: 5 key issues on Wednesday

Corporate earnings season continues.
Major cryptocurrencies fall this morning.
Here are the five factors investors should consider when making their decisions today:
1. IEA report with oil at record highs.
Brent crude oil is trading at a 7 year high and WTI at a 13 year high, with investors looking ahead to the monthly report from the International Energy Agency (IEA) due on Wednesday.
2. Corporate results
Investors are already looking ahead to the corporate earnings season that started last Friday. Today, Bank of America (NYSE: BAC ), Morgan Stanley (NYSE: MS ), U.S. Bancorp and ASML Holding (AS: ASML ), among others, report their figures.
3. Crypto: Bearish trend
The cryptocurrency sector continues to be in the midst of another week of volatility, as was the case last week. This morning, Bitcoin is trading at $41,000 and Ethereum at $3,100.
4. Asia and the US stock market: Worrying fall in technology companies
The main Asian indices are negative today. Nikkei fell 2.9%, Hong Kong's Hang Seng dropped 0.4% and the Shanghai Composite lost 0.7%.
On Wall Street, the market also ended yesterday in the red. The S&P 500 (-1.8%), Nasdaq (-2.6%) and Dow Jones (-1.5%) closed down.
5. Macroeconomic data
Among the main macroeconomic releases, South Africa , United Kingdom and German CPI and Eurozone current account data will be released.
In the US, the weekly API crude oil stocks and the mortgage market index will be released.
