Investing.com - MercadoLibre (NASDAQ: MELI ) reported on Wednesday first quarter earnings that missed analysts' forecasts and revenue that topped expectations.

MercadoLibre announced earnings per share of $-0.68 on revenue of $1.38B. Analysts polled by Investing.com anticipated EPS of $0.0717 on revenue of $1.16B.

MercadoLibre shares are down 8.64% from the beginning of the year and are trading at $1,540.21 , down-from-52-week-high.They are under-performing the Nasdaq which is up 5.39% from the start of the year.
