Midday Movers: Twitter, Spirit, Wynn and More

Investing.com -- U.S. stocks fell on Monday ahead of the start of earnings season. Here are the midday movers for July 11:

Twitter Inc (NYSE: TWTR ) shares fell 9% days after Elon Musk said he would abandon his $44 billion offer, though the company is gearing up to fight over that. The share price, around $33.34, is well below Musk's $54.30 a share offer.

Spirit Airlines Inc (NYSE: SAVE ) shares fell 1.4% after Frontier Group said it had made its last and best offer as Spirit shareholders continue to face bids from both Frontier (NASDAQ: ULCC ) and JetBlue (NASDAQ: JBLU ).

Wynn Resorts Limited (NASDAQ: WYNN ) stock fell 8% after China moved to shut down more cities to prevent the spread of Covid-19, including the casinos in its gaming capital.
- Meta Platforms Inc (NASDAQ: META ) stock dropped 4% after Needham analysts downgraded the stock to sell from neutral.
- Alibaba Group Holdings Ltd ADR (NYSE: BABA ) shares fell 8.5% after Chinese regulators fined it for deal disclosure violations.
