Investing.com - Omnicom reported on Tuesday third quarter earnings that beat analysts' forecasts and revenue that topped expectations.

Omnicom announced earnings per share of $1.21 on revenue of $3.21B. Analysts polled by Investing.com anticipated EPS of $1.07 on revenue of $3.04B.

Omnicom shares are down 36% from the beginning of the year and are trading at $51.24 , down-from-52-week-high.They are under-performing the S&P 500 which is up 5.27% from the start of the year.

Omnicom's report follows an earnings beat by Verizon on Wednesday, October 21, 2020, who reported EPS of $1.25 on revenue of $31.5B, compared to forecasts EPS of $1.22 on revenue of $31.59B.

Netflix had missed expectations on Tuesday, October 20, 2020 with third quarter EPS of $1.74 on revenue of $6.44B, compared to forecast for EPS of $2.13 on revenue of $6.39B.
