Brazil shares higher at close of trade; Bovespa up 0.44%

Investing.com – Brazil equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Financials , Real Estate and Industrials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Sao Paulo, the Bovespa gained 0.44% to hit a new 5-year high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Bovespa were Embraer SA (SA: EMBR3 ), which rose 4.11% or 0.70 points to trade at 17.75 at the close. Cyrela Brazil Realty SA (SA: CYRE3 ) added 2.47% or 0.31 points to end at 12.85 and CEMIG - Companhia Energetica Minas Gerais Pref (SA: CMIG4 ) was up 2.26% or 0.19 points to 8.61 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Centrais Eletricas Brasileiras SA (SA: ELET3 ), which lost 2.67% or 0.52 points to trade at 18.93 in late trade. Cia Paranaense de Energia (SA: CPLE6 ) declined 2.06% or 0.61 points to end at 28.95 and JBS SA (SA: JBSS3 ) shed 1.98% or 0.18 points to 8.92.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 227 to 187 and 34 ended unchanged on the Sao Paulo Stock Exchange.
The CBOE Brazil Etf Volatility , which measures the implied volatility of Bovespa options, was down 1.09% to 25.38.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.02% or 0.27 to $1315.03 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in October fell 0.34% or 0.16 to hit $46.41 a barrel, while the December US coffee C contract fell 1.99% or 2.62 to trade at $128.85 .
USD/BRL was down 0.05% to 3.1657, while EUR/BRL fell 0.09% to 3.7903.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.11% at 92.27.
