Brazil shares higher at close of trade; Bovespa up 0.53%

Investing.com – Brazil equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Real Estate , Consumption and Financials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Sao Paulo, the Bovespa gained 0.53%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Bovespa were BR Malls Participacoes SA (SA: BRML3 ), which rose 7.70% or 0.72 points to trade at 10.07 at the close. CEMIG - Companhia Energetica Minas Gerais Pref (SA: CMIG4 ) added 7.00% or 0.48 points to end at 7.34 and Fleury SA (SA: FLRY3 ) was up 6.27% or 1.54 points to 26.09 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Centrais Eletricas Brasileiras SA (SA: ELET6 ), which lost 4.58% or 0.69 points to trade at 14.38 in late trade. EDP - Energias do Brasil SA (SA: ENBR3 ) declined 2.05% or 0.29 points to end at 13.89 and Gerdau SA Pref (SA: GGBR4 ) shed 2.96% or 0.41 points to 13.46.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 210 to 193 and 27 ended unchanged on the BM&FBovespa Stock Exchange.
The CBOE Brazil Etf Volatility , which measures the implied volatility of Bovespa options, was down 2.95% to 33.56.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for August delivery was down 0.68% or 8.60 to $1260.30 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in August rose 3.67% or 2.50 to hit $70.58 a barrel, while the September US coffee C contract rose 0.43% or 0.50 to trade at $117.67 .
USD/BRL was up 0.63% to 3.7957, while EUR/BRL rose 0.17% to 4.4214.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.43% at 94.35.
