Brazil shares higher at close of trade; Bovespa up 4.60%

Investing.com – Brazil equities were higher at the close on Monday, as gains in the Real Estate , Public Utilities and Financials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Sao Paulo, the Bovespa gained 4.60% to hit a new 3-month high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Bovespa were Gol Linhas Aereas Inteligentes SA Pref (SA: GOLL4 ), which rose 18.55% or 2.30 points to trade at 14.70 at the close. Centrais Eletricas Brasileiras SA (SA: ELET6 ) added 18.31% or 4.14 points to end at 26.75 and Centrais Eletricas Brasileiras SA (SA: ELET3 ) was up 17.33% or 3.25 points to 22.00 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Bradespar SA (SA: BRAP4 ), which lost 1.60% or 0.56 points to trade at 34.42 in late trade. Gerdau SA Pref (SA: GGBR4 ) declined 1.20% or 0.19 points to end at 15.61 and Klabin Unt (SA: KLBN11 ) shed 0.93% or 0.17 points to 18.16.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 291 to 184 and 32 ended unchanged on the BM&FBovespa Stock Exchange.
The CBOE Brazil Etf Volatility , which measures the implied volatility of Bovespa options, was down 16.67% to 46.38.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for December delivery was down 1.16% or 14.00 to $1191.60 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in November fell 0.16% or 0.12 to hit $74.22 a barrel, while the December US coffee C contract rose 2.59% or 2.82 to trade at $111.90 .
USD/BRL was down 1.98% to 3.7650, while EUR/BRL fell 2.22% to 4.3276.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.10% at 95.41.
