Brazil shares higher at close of trade; Bovespa up 1.57%

Investing.com – Brazil equities were higher at the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Real Estate , Financials and Consumption sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Sao Paulo, the Bovespa added 1.57% to hit a new 1-month high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Bovespa were Petroleo Brasileiro SA PN (SA: PETR4 ), which rose 4.95% or 0.61 points to trade at 12.94 at the close. Banco Bradesco SA (SA: BBDC3 ) added 4.38% or 1.23 points to end at 29.31 and BR Malls Participacoes SA (SA: BRML3 ) was up 4.05% or 0.50 points to 12.85 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Embraer SA (SA: EMBR3 ), which lost 2.32% or 0.37 points to trade at 15.55 in late trade. Fibria Celulose SA (SA: FIBR3 ) declined 2.05% or 0.67 points to end at 31.98 and Klabin Unt (SA: KLBN11 ) shed 1.70% or 0.28 points to 16.15.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 271 to 98 and 31 ended unchanged on the Sao Paulo Stock Exchange.
The CBOE Brazil Etf Volatility , which measures the implied volatility of Bovespa options, was down 1.61% to 28.72.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for August delivery was up 0.39% or 4.69 to $1219.39 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in August rose 0.84% or 0.38 to hit $45.42 a barrel, while the September US coffee C contract rose 0.55% or 0.70 to trade at $127.67 .
USD/BRL was down 1.36% to 3.2101, while EUR/BRL fell 1.79% to 3.6644.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.03% at 95.52.
