Brazil shares lower at close of trade; Bovespa down 0.08%

Investing.com – Brazil equities were lower at the close on Friday, as losses in the Electric Power , Financials and Consumption sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Sao Paulo, the Bovespa lost 0.08%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Bovespa were JBS SA (SA: JBSS3 ), which rose 5.34% or 0.45 points to trade at 8.88 at the close. Suzano Papel e Celulose SA (SA: SUZB5 ) added 3.80% or 0.65 points to end at 17.75 and Multiplan SA (SA: MULT3 ) was up 3.37% or 2.41 points to 73.85 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Natura Cosmeticos SA (SA: NATU3 ), which lost 3.00% or 0.90 points to trade at 29.15 in late trade. Companhia Brasileira deDistribuicao (SA: PCAR4 ) declined 2.83% or 2.13 points to end at 73.17 and CEMIG - Companhia Energetica Minas Gerais Pref (SA: CMIG4 ) shed 2.05% or 0.18 points to 8.59.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 197 to 167 and 44 ended unchanged on the Sao Paulo Stock Exchange.
The CBOE Brazil Etf Volatility , which measures the implied volatility of Bovespa options, was down 1.14% to 25.08.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.30% or 3.88 to $1295.88 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in October rose 0.78% or 0.37 to hit $47.80 a barrel, while the December US coffee C contract rose 2.66% or 3.40 to trade at $131.32 .
USD/BRL was up 0.23% to 3.1549, while EUR/BRL rose 1.33% to 3.7637.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.87% at 92.42.
