Brazil shares lower at close of trade; Bovespa down 0.17%

Investing.com – Brazil equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Industrials , Basic Materials and Consumption sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Sao Paulo, the Bovespa lost 0.17%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Bovespa were Estacio Participacoes SA (SA: ESTC3 ), which rose 3.50% or 1.00 points to trade at 29.60 at the close. Cielo SA (SA: CIEL3 ) added 3.29% or 0.69 points to end at 21.64 and RUMO Logistica Operadora Multimodal SA (SA: RAIL3 ) was up 1.89% or 0.21 points to 11.35 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Klabin Unt (SA: KLBN11 ), which lost 3.50% or 0.67 points to trade at 18.46 in late trade. Suzano Papel e Celulose SA (SA: SUZB5 ) declined 3.05% or 0.56 points to end at 17.80 and Fibria Celulose SA (SA: FIBR3 ) shed 2.99% or 1.20 points to 38.90.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 213 to 165 and 36 ended unchanged on the Sao Paulo Stock Exchange.
The CBOE Brazil Etf Volatility , which measures the implied volatility of Bovespa options, was down 0.86% to 31.11.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for December delivery was down 1.02% or 13.40 to $1298.10 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in November fell 0.15% or 0.08 to hit $52.14 a barrel, while the December US coffee C contract rose 0.34% or 0.45 to trade at $132.27 .
USD/BRL was up 0.19% to 3.1651, while EUR/BRL fell 0.31% to 3.7310.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.42% at 92.83.
