Brazil shares lower at close of trade; Bovespa down 0.62%
Credit: © Reuters. – Brazil equities were lower at the close on Monday, as losses in the Financials , Real Estate and Consumption sectors propelled shares lower.

At the close in Sao Paulo, the Bovespa fell 0.62%.

The biggest gainers of the session on the Bovespa were CPFL Energia SA (SA: CPFE3 ), which rose 4.07% or 0.90 points to trade at 23.00 at the close. Suzano Papel e Celulose SA (SA: SUZB3 ) added 3.66% or 1.73 points to end at 49.04 and Ultrapar Participacoes SA (SA: UGPA3 ) was up 3.28% or 1.35 points to 42.52 in late trade.

Biggest losers included Centrais Eletricas Brasileiras SA (SA: ELET6 ), which lost 3.31% or 0.60 points to trade at 17.50 in late trade. Viavarejo Unt (SA: VVAR11 ) declined 3.25% or 0.55 points to end at 16.35 and Magazine Luiza SA (SA: MGLU3 ) shed 3.15% or 4.10 points to 126.15.

Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 227 to 143 and 25 ended unchanged on the BM&FBovespa Stock Exchange.

The CBOE Brazil Etf Volatility , which measures the implied volatility of Bovespa options, was down 2.63% to 46.65.

In commodities trading, Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.22% or 2.60 to $1207.00 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in October rose 0.49% or 0.34 to hit $70.11 a barrel, while the December US coffee C contract fell 1.27% or 1.31 to trade at $101.47 .

USD/BRL was up 2.44% to 4.1514, while EUR/BRL rose 2.56% to 4.8231.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.02% at 95.07.
