Brazil shares lower at close of trade; Bovespa down 1.00%

Investing.com – Brazil equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the Financials , Real Estate and Electric Power sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Sao Paulo, the Bovespa fell 1.00%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Bovespa were Ambev SA (SA: ABEV3 ), which rose 5.24% or 0.99 points to trade at 19.89 at the close. Equatorial Energia SA (SA: EQTL3 ) added 3.29% or 1.95 points to end at 61.15 and Qualicorp SA (SA: QUAL3 ) was up 2.41% or 0.47 points to 19.97 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Centrais Eletricas Brasileiras SA (SA: ELET3 ), which lost 5.97% or 1.07 points to trade at 16.85 in late trade. Centrais Eletricas Brasileiras SA (SA: ELET6 ) declined 5.75% or 1.16 points to end at 19.03 and EDP - Energias do Brasil SA (SA: ENBR3 ) shed 5.14% or 0.74 points to 13.66.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 252 to 145 and 30 ended unchanged on the BM&FBovespa Stock Exchange.
The CBOE Brazil Etf Volatility , which measures the implied volatility of Bovespa options, was up 0.41% to 32.13.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for August delivery was down 0.77% or 9.50 to $1222.30 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in September rose 0.51% or 0.35 to hit $69.65 a barrel, while the September US coffee C contract fell 1.31% or 1.45 to trade at $109.47 .
USD/BRL was up 1.57% to 3.7466, while EUR/BRL rose 0.79% to 4.3628.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.62% at 94.56.
