Brazil shares lower at close of trade; Bovespa down 1.07%

Investing.com – Brazil equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the Real Estate , Financials and Industrials sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Sao Paulo, the Bovespa lost 1.07%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Bovespa were Embraer SA (SA: EMBR3 ), which rose 1.51% or 0.24 points to trade at 16.14 at the close. Gerdau SA Pref (SA: GGBR4 ) added 1.26% or 0.14 points to end at 11.27 and BB Seguridade Participacoes SA (SA: BBSE3 ) was up 1.08% or 0.30 points to 28.14 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Kroton Educacional SA (SA: KROT3 ), which lost 4.07% or 0.75 points to trade at 17.69 in late trade. Banco do Brasil SA (SA: BBAS3 ) declined 3.87% or 1.24 points to end at 30.77 and WEG SA (SA: WEGE3 ) shed 3.31% or 0.79 points to 23.06.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 220 to 156 and 32 ended unchanged on the BM&FBovespa Stock Exchange.
The CBOE Brazil Etf Volatility , which measures the implied volatility of Bovespa options, was down 4.73% to 34.04.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for February delivery was down 1.50% or 19.00 to $1247.10 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in January rose 1.25% or 0.70 to hit $56.66 a barrel, while the March US coffee C contract fell 2.43% or 3.06 to trade at $122.97 .
USD/BRL was up 1.69% to 3.2905, while EUR/BRL rose 1.53% to 3.8750.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.24% at 93.75.
