Brazil shares lower at close of trade; Bovespa down 1.30%

Investing.com – Brazil equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the Industrials , Real Estate and Basic Materials sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Sao Paulo, the Bovespa declined 1.30%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Bovespa were Viavarejo Unt (SA: VVAR11 ), which rose 3.07% or 0.82 points to trade at 27.55 at the close. CEMIG - Companhia Energetica Minas Gerais Pref (SA: CMIG4 ) added 2.50% or 0.20 points to end at 8.20 and Magazine Luiza SA (SA: MGLU3 ) was up 1.45% or 1.30 points to 91.00 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Marfrig Alimentos SA (SA: MRFG3 ), which lost 5.99% or 0.36 points to trade at 5.65 in late trade. Petroleo Brasileiro SA PN (SA: PETR4 ) declined 4.78% or 1.07 points to end at 21.31 and Cielo SA (SA: CIEL3 ) shed 4.49% or 1.03 points to 21.92.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 207 to 182 and 22 ended unchanged on the BM&FBovespa Stock Exchange.
The CBOE Brazil Etf Volatility , which measures the implied volatility of Bovespa options, was up 8.35% to 28.68.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for April delivery was down 0.72% or 9.50 to $1316.10 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in April rose 0.38% or 0.23 to hit $61.19 a barrel, while the May US coffee C contract fell 1.82% or 2.20 to trade at $118.92 .
USD/BRL was up 0.67% to 3.2826, while EUR/BRL rose 0.16% to 4.0396.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.45% at 90.15.
