BRIEF-Randgold & Exploration says H1 net loss of 6.2 mln rand

Sept 20 (Reuters) - Randgold (LON: RRS ) & Exploration Co Ltd RNGJ.J :

* For six month ended June 30 co recorded a net loss of 6.2 mln rand for period compared to a profit of 0.3 mln rand for corresponding period last year

* Remains in a healthy cash position with 170.5 mln rand in cash and cash equivalents at June 30 2016

* Outlook for balance of year is largely dependent on progress and outcome of legal proceedings in which company is engaged
