China shares higher at close of trade; Shanghai Composite up 1.10%

Investing.com – China equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Life Insurance , Software & Computer Services and Technology sectors propelled shares higher.

At the close in Shanghai, the Shanghai Composite added 1.10%, while the SZSE Component index gained 1.17%.

The biggest gainers of the session on the Shanghai Composite were Ningxia Xinri Hengli Steel Wire Rope Co Ltd (SS: 600165 ), which rose 10.06% or 0.360 points to trade at 3.940 at the close. North Navigation Control Technology Co Ltd (SS: 600435 ) added 10.03% or 0.780 points to end at 8.560 and ADD Industry Zhejiang Co Ltd (SS: 603089 ) was up 10.02% or 1.67 points to 18.33 in late trade.

Biggest losers included Nanjing Central Emporium Group Stocks Co Ltd (SS: 600280 ), which lost 10.00% or 0.840 points to trade at 7.560 in late trade. Harbin Gong Da High-Tech Enterprise Development Co Ltd (SS: 600701 ) declined 5.03% or 0.250 points to end at 4.720 and Shanghai Zhongji Investment Holding Co Ltd (SS: 600634 ) shed 4.72% or 0.12 points to 2.42.

The top performers on the SZSE Component were Shanghai Kingstar Winning Software (SZ: 300253 ) which rose 10.01% to 15.49, Tonghua Golden-Horse Pharmaceutical Industry Co Ltd (SZ: 000766 ) which was up 10.00% to settle at 8.25 and Visual China Group Co Ltd (SZ: 000681 ) which gained 9.99% to close at 32.03.

The worst performers were Chenzhou Jingui Silver Industry Co Ltd (SZ: 002716 ) which was down 10.03% to 7.18 in late trade, Shandong Qixing Iron Tower Co Ltd (SZ: 002359 ) which lost 9.99% to settle at 16.48 and Leyard Optoelectronic (SZ: 300296 ) which was down 6.31% to 8.76 at the close.

Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 1222 to 179 and 44 ended unchanged on the Shanghai Stock Exchange.

The CBOE China Etf Volatility , which measures the implied volatility of Shanghai Composite options, was unchanged 0.00% to 22.92.

In commodities trading, Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.51% or 6.20 to $1200.50 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in October rose 0.92% or 0.64 to hit $70.44 a barrel, while the November Brent oil contract rose 0.20% or 0.16 to trade at $78.31 a barrel.

USD/CNY was down 0.14% to 6.8297, while EUR/CNY fell 0.27% to 7.9048.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.35% at 95.40.
