Investing.com – China equities were lower at the close on Friday, as losses in the Software & Computer Services, Technology and Telecoms sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Shanghai, the Shanghai Composite lost 0.18%, while the SZSE Component index fell 0.61%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Shanghai Composite were Tonghua Grape Wine Co Ltd (SS:600365), which rose 10.05% or 0.430 points to trade at 4.710 at the close. Zhejiang XCC Group Co Ltd (SS:603667) added 9.98% or 1.020 points to end at 11.240 and Changchun Gas Co Ltd (SS:600333) was up 9.98% or 0.580 points to 6.390 in late trade.
Biggest losers included YanTai Yuancheng Gold Co Ltd (SS:600766), which lost 10.01% or 0.670 points to trade at 6.020 in late trade. Zhejiang Hisun Pharmaceutical Co Ltd (SS:600267) declined 10.00% or 1.160 points to end at 10.440 and Aisino Corp (SS:600271) shed 9.99% or 3.020 points to 27.200.
The top performers on the SZSE Component were Jiuzhitang Co Ltd (SZ:000989) which rose 7.13% to 15.17, Hangzhou New Century Info Tech (SZ:002280) which was up 6.53% to settle at 5.38 and Beijing Sanju Environmental (SZ:300072) which gained 5.75% to close at 13.61.
The worst performers were Chuying Agro-Pastoral Group Co Ltd (SZ:002477) which was down 10.14% to 2.66 in late trade, Xiamen Meiya Pico Information (SZ:300188) which lost 10.02% to settle at 17.69 and Xinzhi Motor Co Ltd (SZ:002664) which was down 10.01% to 15.55 at the close.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 997 to 366 and 87 ended unchanged on the Shanghai Stock Exchange.
The CBOE China Etf Volatility, which measures the implied volatility of Shanghai Composite options, was unchanged 0.00% to 23.67.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.41% or 4.90 to $1213.10 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in October rose 0.55% or 0.38 to hit $68.97 a barrel, while the November Brent oil contract rose 0.37% or 0.29 to trade at $78.47 a barrel.
USD/CNY was up 0.04% to 6.8472, while EUR/CNY rose 0.23% to 8.0196.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.11% at 94.43.
