Investing.com – China equities were mixed at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Media, Telecoms and Mobile sectors propelled shares higher while losses in the Life Insurance, Oil Equipment Services & Distribution and Financials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Shanghai, the Shanghai Composite fell 0.10%, while the SZSE Component index added 0.06%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Shanghai Composite were SEC Electric Machinery Co Ltd (SS:603988), which rose 10.02% or 1.72 points to trade at 18.88 at the close. Huada Automotive Technology Co Ltd (SS:603358) added 10.01% or 1.75 points to end at 19.23 and Kingclean Electric Co Ltd (SS:603355) was up 10.01% or 2.560 points to 28.140 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Shangying Global Co Ltd (SS:600146), which lost 10.02% or 1.01 points to trade at 9.07 in late trade. Fujian Longma Environmental Sanitation Equipment Co Ltd (SS:603686) declined 10.01% or 1.98 points to end at 17.80 and Shenzhen Geoway Co Ltd (SS:600462) shed 9.09% or 0.280 points to 2.800.
The top performers on the SZSE Component were Zhonghong Holding Co Ltd (SZ:000979) which rose 10.13% to 0.87, Henan Shenhuo Coal & Power Co Ltd (SZ:000933) which was up 9.96% to settle at 5.190 and Zhejiang Longsheng Auto Parts Co Ltd (SZ:002625) which gained 9.96% to close at 9.38.
The worst performers were Tonghua Golden-Horse Pharmaceutical Industry Co Ltd (SZ:000766) which was down 5.33% to 7.81 in late trade, Shandong Chenming Paper Holdings Ltd (SZ:000488) which lost 5.13% to settle at 7.03 and Beijing Orient Landscape Co Ltd (SZ:002310) which was down 4.16% to 12.91 at the close.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 674 to 659 and 112 ended unchanged on the Shanghai Stock Exchange.
The CBOE China Etf Volatility, which measures the implied volatility of Shanghai Composite options, was up 7.29% to 22.37.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.10% or 1.20 to $1217.20 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in October fell 0.19% or 0.13 to hit $68.74 a barrel, while the November Brent oil contract unchanged 0.00% or 0.00 to trade at $76.50 a barrel.
USD/CNY was down 0.07% to 6.8123, while EUR/CNY rose 0.01% to 7.9616.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.01% at 94.66.
