Colombia shares lower at close of trade; COLCAP down 0.25%

Investing.com – Colombia equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the Industrials , Public Services and Agriculture sectors propelled shares lower.

At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP fell 0.25%.

The biggest gainers of the session on the COLCAP were Banco Davivienda Pf (CN: DVI_p ), which rose 2.26% or 840.0 points to trade at 38000.0 at the close. Grupoaval (CN: GAA ) added 1.68% or 20.0 points to end at 1210.0 and Pfgrupoarg (CN: ARG_p ) was up 1.63% or 280.0 points to 17500.0 in late trade.

Biggest losers included Canacol Energy Ltd (CN: CNE ), which lost 3.09% or 300.0 points to trade at 9400.0 in late trade. Ecopetrol SA (CN: ECO ) declined 1.19% or 35.0 points to end at 2895.0 and Etb (CN: ETB ) shed 1.05% or 4.0 points to 376.0.

Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 17 to 15 and 1 ended unchanged on the Colombia Stock Exchange.

In commodities trading, US coffee C for September delivery was down 2.75% or 3.08 to $108.97 . Meanwhile, US cocoa for delivery in September rose 1.18% or 29.00 to hit $2480.00 , while the August Gold Futures contract rose 0.33% or 4.10 to trade at $1257.60 a troy ounce.

USD/COP was down 1.03% to 2877.00, while BRL/COP fell 1.46% to 731.95.

The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.03% at 94.16.
