Colombia shares lower at close of trade; COLCAP down 0.25%

Investing.com – Colombia equities were lower at the close on Monday, as losses in the Financials , Public Services and Investment sectors propelled shares lower.

At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP declined 0.25%.

The biggest gainers of the session on the COLCAP were Ecopetrol SA (CN: ECO ), which rose 0.72% or 10.0 points to trade at 1390.0 at the close. Grupo Aval Acciones y Valores SA Pref (CN: GAA_p ) added 0.38% or 5.0 points to end at 1320.0 and Banco Davivienda Pf (CN: DVI_p ) was up 0.36% or 120.0 points to 33120.0 in late trade.

Biggest losers included Bcolombia (CN: BIC ), which lost 1.14% or 380.0 points to trade at 32820.0 in late trade. Grupo Nutresa SA (CN: NCH ) declined 1.04% or 280.0 points to end at 26720.0 and Avianca Holdings Pf (CN: AVT_p ) shed 1.03% or 30.0 points to 2895.0.

Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 21 to 6 and 4 ended unchanged on the Colombia Stock Exchange.

In commodities trading, US coffee C for December delivery was down 2.04% or 2.75 to $131.82 . Meanwhile, US cocoa for delivery in December fell 0.18% or 3.50 to hit $1976.00 , while the December Gold Futures contract rose 1.20% or 15.60 to trade at $1313.10 a troy ounce.

USD/COP was up 0.73% to 2926.27, while BRL/COP fell 0.26% to 927.21.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.57% at 92.47.
