Denmark shares higher at close of trade; OMX Copenhagen 20 up 0.31%

Investing.com – Denmark equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Oil & Gas , Software & Computer Services and Technology sectors propelled shares higher.

At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 rose 0.31%.

The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were Vestas Wind Systems A/S (CO: VWS ), which rose 6.13% or 24.8 points to trade at 429.2 at the close. Tryg A/S (CO: TRYG ) added 2.09% or 3.3 points to end at 161.0 and DSV (CO: DSV ) was up 1.78% or 9.4 points to 537.0 in late trade.

Biggest losers included William Demant Holding AS (CO: WDH ), which lost 4.27% or 9.6 points to trade at 215.4 in late trade. Lundbeck A/S (CO: LUN ) declined 1.37% or 4.2 points to end at 301.3 and AP Moeller - Maersk A/S B (CO: MAERSKb ) shed 1.16% or 100 points to 8534.

Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 60 to 57 and 18 ended unchanged on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange.

In commodities trading, Crude oil for December delivery was down 2.35% or 1.48 to $61.62 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in January fell 2.20% or 1.61 to hit $71.56 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.15% or 1.90 to trade at $1227.90 a troy ounce.

USD/DKK was down 0.15% to 6.5294, while EUR/DKK fell 0.00% to 7.4591.

The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.01% at 96.07.
