Denmark shares higher at close of trade; OMX Copenhagen 20 up 0.84%

Investing.com – Denmark equities were higher at the close on Thursday, as gains in the Oil & Gas , Software & Computer Services and Technology sectors propelled shares higher.

At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 rose 0.84%.

The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were Vestas Wind Systems A/S (CO: VWS ), which rose 4.68% or 23.6 points to trade at 528.0 at the close. Lundbeck A/S (CO: LUN ) added 2.79% or 7.7 points to end at 283.6 and Pandora A/S (CO: PNDORA ) was up 1.82% or 5.4 points to 301.4 in late trade.

Biggest losers included GN Store Nord (CO: GN ), which lost 2.20% or 5.6 points to trade at 249.3 in late trade. William Demant Holding AS (CO: WDH ) declined 1.19% or 2.4 points to end at 200.0 and Novozymes A/S B (CO: NZYMb ) shed 0.66% or 2.0 points to 299.9.

Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 68 to 53 and 19 ended unchanged on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange.

In commodities trading, Crude oil for January delivery was up 1.39% or 0.71 to $51.86 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in February rose 1.00% or 0.60 to hit $60.75 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract fell 0.22% or 2.75 to trade at $1247.25 a troy ounce.

USD/DKK was up 0.13% to 6.5743, while EUR/DKK rose 0.00% to 7.4642.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.14% at 97.153.
