Denmark shares higher at close of trade; OMX Copenhagen 20 up 2.57%

Investing.com – Denmark equities were higher at the close on Friday, as gains in the Financials , Healthcare and Personal & Household Goods sectors propelled shares higher.

At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 gained 2.57% to hit a new 3-month high.

The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were Danske Bank A/S (CO: DANSKE ), which rose 5.23% or 6.3 points to trade at 126.8 at the close. Novo Nordisk A/S Class B (CO: NOVOb ) added 4.36% or 13.2 points to end at 317.4 and DSV (CO: DSV ) was up 2.73% or 14.2 points to 533.6 in late trade.

Biggest losers included Ambu A/S (CO: AMBUb ), which lost 7.30% or 12.6 points to trade at 160.0 in late trade. FLSmidth & Co. (CO: FLS ) declined 2.79% or 8.5 points to end at 296.4 and Lundbeck A/S (CO: LUN ) shed 1.16% or 3.3 points to 282.4.

Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 82 to 45 and 15 ended unchanged on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange.

In commodities trading, Crude oil for March delivery was up 2.10% or 1.13 to $54.92 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in April rose 2.37% or 1.44 to hit $62.28 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract fell 0.22% or 2.85 to trade at $1322.35 a troy ounce.

USD/DKK was down 0.19% to 6.5088, while EUR/DKK rose 0.02% to 7.4659.

The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.07% at 95.235.
