Denmark shares lower at close of trade; OMX Copenhagen 20 down 0.65%

Investing.com – Denmark equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the Chemicals , Real Estate and Personal & Household Goods sectors propelled shares lower.

At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 declined 0.65%.

The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were Jyske Bank A/S (CO: JYSK ), which rose 1.74% or 4.2 points to trade at 245.7 at the close. Novozymes A/S B (CO: NZYMb ) added 1.46% or 4.4 points to end at 306.6 and Chr. Hansen Holding A/S (CO: CHRH ) was up 1.04% or 6.4 points to 623.0 in late trade.

Biggest losers included Danske Bank A/S (CO: DANSKE ), which lost 2.67% or 3.5 points to trade at 127.8 in late trade. Genmab (CO: GEN ) declined 2.47% or 27.5 points to end at 1084.5 and Lundbeck A/S (CO: LUN ) shed 1.47% or 4.4 points to 294.2.

Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 72 to 50 and 26 ended unchanged on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange.

In commodities trading, Crude oil for February delivery was down 0.25% or 0.13 to $52.23 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in March fell 0.16% or 0.10 to hit $61.34 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract fell 0.19% or 2.50 to trade at $1289.50 a troy ounce.

USD/DKK was up 0.29% to 6.4870, while EUR/DKK rose 0.01% to 7.4657.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.28% at 95.058.
