Denmark shares lower at close of trade; OMX Copenhagen 20 down 0.66%

Investing.com – Denmark equities were lower at the close on Monday, as losses in the Oil & Gas , Chemicals and Financials sectors propelled shares lower.

At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 fell 0.66%.

The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were FLSmidth & Co. (CO: FLS ), which rose 3.24% or 9.6 points to trade at 306.0 at the close. Lundbeck A/S (CO: LUN ) added 1.42% or 4.0 points to end at 286.4 and Coloplast A/S (CO: COLOb ) was up 1.32% or 8.0 points to 611.8 in late trade.

Biggest losers included Ambu A/S (CO: AMBUb ), which lost 2.50% or 4.0 points to trade at 156.0 in late trade. Danske Bank A/S (CO: DANSKE ) declined 2.29% or 2.9 points to end at 123.9 and DSV (CO: DSV ) shed 2.10% or 11.2 points to 522.4.

Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 63 to 58 and 27 ended unchanged on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange.

In commodities trading, Crude oil for March delivery was down 1.72% or 0.95 to $54.31 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in April fell 0.45% or 0.28 to hit $62.47 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract fell 0.25% or 3.35 to trade at $1318.75 a troy ounce.

USD/DKK was up 0.18% to 6.5282, while EUR/DKK rose 0.01% to 7.4653.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.26% at 95.547.
