MILAN, July 17 (Reuters) - European shares dipped on Tuesday as mixed company updates flowed in and markets awaited Federal Reserve Chairman Jerome Powell's testimony for possible clues on the outlook for U.S. interest rate rises.

Telecoms stocks were the biggest sectoral fallers, down 1 percent, weighed by a 3 percent drop in Telenor TEL.OL after the Norwegian telecoms operator posted second-quarter results that slightly lagged forecasts. losses and broader weakness among tech stocks following a big subscriber growth miss at U.S. giant Netflix (NASDAQ: NFLX ) helped drag the pan-European STOXX 600 index down 0.2 percent by 0725 GMT. Trading was however subdued ahead of Powell's speech due at 1400 GMT.

Husqvarna HUSQb.ST was the biggest faller on the STOXX, down 15 percent after the world's biggest maker of outdoor power tools posted an unexpected drop in operating profit. buoyed in the previous session by a positive earnings surprise from Deutsche Bank DBKGn.DE , rose for a second day with SEB SEBa.ST up 5.8 percent after net interest income at the Swedish lender beat forecasts thanks to strong corporate demand. TKAG.DE jumped 5.8 percent after its chairman quit, raising hopes of a restructuring at the German submarines-to-elevators conglomerate.
