Investing.com – Finland equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Utilities, Telecoms and Financials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 gained 0.51%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Amer Sports Corporation (HE:AMEAS), which rose 2.13% or 0.53 points to trade at 25.38 at the close. Tieto Oyj (HE:TIE1V) added 1.83% or 0.41 points to end at 22.83 and Elisa Oyj (HE:ELI1V) was up 1.81% or 0.60 points to 33.78 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Outotec Oyj (HE:OTE1V), which lost 4.28% or 0.142 points to trade at 3.178 in late trade. YIT Oyj (HE:YTY1V) declined 1.61% or 0.08 points to end at 4.95 and Outokumpu Oyj (HE:OUT1V) shed 1.61% or 0.0540 points to 3.2920.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 95 to 83 and 13 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for June delivery was down 2.01% or 0.82 to $40.05 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in May fell 2.44% or 0.96 to hit $38.43 a barrel, while the June Gold contract rose 1.19% or 14.60 to trade at $1236.60 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.46% to 1.1249, while EUR/GBP fell 0.29% to 0.7832.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.51% at 95.50.
