Investing.com – Finland equities were higher at the close on Monday, as gains in the Basic Materials, Utilities and Technology sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 gained 1.29%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Outokumpu Oyj (HE:OUT1V), which rose 3.57% or 0.1850 points to trade at 5.3650 at the close. YIT Oyj (HE:YTY1V) added 2.88% or 0.18 points to end at 6.60 and UPM-Kymmene Oyj (HE:UPM1V) was up 1.94% or 0.35 points to 18.36 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Elisa Oyj (HE:ELISA), which added 0.16% or 0.05 points to trade at 31.91 in late trade. Outotec Oyj (HE:OTE1V) added 0.20% or 0.008 points to end at 4.022 and Amer Sports Corporation (HE:AMEAS) gained 0.47% or 0.13 points to 27.60.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 145 to 39 and 10 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for November delivery was up 1.33% or 0.61 to $46.38 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in November rose 1.40% or 0.61 to hit $44.23 a barrel, while the December Gold contract rose 0.53% or 6.95 to trade at $1317.15 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.16% to 1.1173, while EUR/GBP fell 0.05% to 0.8566.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.32% at 95.75.
