Finland shares lower at close of trade; OMX Helsinki 25 down 0.49%
Credit: © Reuters. – Finland equities were lower at the close on Friday, as losses in the Industrials , Oil & Gas and Healthcare sectors propelled shares lower.

At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 declined 0.49% to hit a new 52-week low.

The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Elisa Oyj (HE: ELISA ), which rose 2.22% or 0.77 points to trade at 35.42 at the close. Stora Enso Oyj R (HE: STERV ) added 0.81% or 0.090 points to end at 11.255 and Fortum Oyj (HE: FORTUM ) was up 0.63% or 0.12 points to 18.41 in late trade.

Biggest losers included Outotec Oyj (HE: OTE1V ), which lost 3.34% or 0.115 points to trade at 3.325 in late trade. Cargotec Oyj (HE: CGCBV ) declined 3.13% or 1.10 points to end at 34.00 and Outokumpu Oyj (HE: OUT1V ) shed 2.68% or 0.1010 points to 3.6740.

Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 81 to 65 and 19 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.

In commodities trading, Brent oil for February delivery was down 0.40% or 0.24 to $59.67 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in January fell 0.29% or 0.15 to hit $51.30 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract fell 0.26% or 3.20 to trade at $1227.20 a troy ounce.

EUR/USD was down 0.62% to 1.1322, while EUR/GBP fell 0.47% to 0.8868.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.42% at 97.105.
