Finland shares lower at close of trade; OMX Helsinki 25 down 0.80%
Credit: © Reuters. – Finland equities were lower at the close on Monday, as losses in the Oil & Gas , Basic Materials and Healthcare sectors propelled shares lower.

At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 lost 0.80%.

The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were DNA Oyj (HE: DNAO ), which rose 3.54% or 0.5900 points to trade at 17.2600 at the close. Elisa Oyj (HE: ELISA ) added 1.44% or 0.53 points to end at 37.35 and Wartsila Oyj Abp (HE: WRT1V ) was up 0.83% or 0.12 points to 14.04 in late trade.

Biggest losers included Cargotec Oyj (HE: CGCBV ), which lost 4.71% or 1.34 points to trade at 27.14 in late trade. Stora Enso Oyj R (HE: STERV ) declined 2.08% or 0.220 points to end at 10.375 and UPM-Kymmene Oyj (HE: UPM ) shed 1.74% or 0.40 points to 22.53.

Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 110 to 42 and 17 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.

In commodities trading, Brent oil for February delivery was down 0.73% or 0.44 to $59.84 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in February fell 1.69% or 0.87 to hit $50.60 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract rose 0.52% or 6.40 to trade at $1247.80 a troy ounce.

EUR/USD was up 0.34% to 1.1345, while EUR/GBP rose 0.14% to 0.8997.

The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.32% at 96.597.
