Investing.com – Finland equities were lower at the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Oil & Gas, Utilities and Technology sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 fell 0.03%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Stora Enso Oyj R (HE:STERV), which rose 2.05% or 0.160 points to trade at 7.950 at the close. Amer Sports Corporation (HE:AMEAS) added 1.42% or 0.35 points to end at 24.99 and Nokian Renkaat Oyj (HE:NRE1V) was up 0.95% or 0.28 points to 29.85 in late trade.
Biggest losers included YIT Oyj (HE:YTY1V), which lost 6.26% or 0.33 points to trade at 4.97 in late trade. Outotec Oyj (HE:OTE1V) declined 5.69% or 0.190 points to end at 3.152 and Outokumpu Oyj (HE:OUT1V) shed 4.03% or 0.1480 points to 3.5240.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 88 to 85 and 17 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for May delivery was up 2.92% or 1.13 to $39.87 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in April rose 3.88% or 1.41 to hit $37.75 a barrel, while the April Gold contract fell 0.09% or 1.10 to trade at $1229.90 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.32% to 1.1072, while EUR/GBP rose 0.08% to 0.7857.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.31% at 96.96.
