Investing.com – Finland equities were lower at the close on Friday, as losses in the Technology, Basic Materials and Financials sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 declined 0.31%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Huhtamaki Oyj (HE:HUH1V), which rose 3.10% or 1.22 points to trade at 40.57 at the close. YIT Oyj (HE:YTY1V) added 2.31% or 0.14 points to end at 6.42 and Amer Sports Corporation (HE:AMEAS) was up 1.33% or 0.36 points to 27.47 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Outotec Oyj (HE:OTE1V), which lost 3.88% or 0.162 points to trade at 4.014 in late trade. Outokumpu Oyj (HE:OUT1V) declined 2.63% or 0.1400 points to end at 5.1800 and Valmt (HE:VALMT) shed 1.43% or 0.19 points to 13.08.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 95 to 76 and 16 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for November delivery was down 1.46% or 0.68 to $45.91 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in October fell 1.96% or 0.86 to hit $43.05 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 0.48% or 6.30 to trade at $1311.70 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.81% to 1.1153, while EUR/GBP rose 0.45% to 0.8531.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.79% at 96.03.
