Greece shares higher at close of trade; Athens General Composite up 1.58%

Investing.com – Greece equities were higher at the close on Monday, as gains in the Banking , Utilities and Healthcare sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General Composite added 1.58%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Athens General Composite were Piraeus Bank SA (AT: BOPr ), which rose 6.38% or 0.148 points to trade at 2.466 at the close. Public Power (AT: DEHr ) added 4.85% or 0.08 points to end at 1.73 and Ellaktor SA (AT: HELr ) was up 4.68% or 0.078 points to 1.746 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Reds (AT: CAMr ), which lost 3.61% or 0.030 points to trade at 0.800 in late trade. Athens Medical (AT: AMCr ) declined 2.29% or 0.030 points to end at 1.280 and Selonda Aquaculture SA (AT: SELr ) shed 1.97% or 0.0018 points to 0.0896.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 77 to 30 and 9 ended unchanged on the Athens Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.26% or 3.20 to $1216.50 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in October fell 0.09% or 0.06 to hit $68.66 a barrel, while the November Brent oil contract rose 0.11% or 0.08 to trade at $76.21 a barrel.
EUR/USD was up 0.44% to 1.1674, while EUR/GBP rose 0.17% to 0.9060.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.37% at 94.73.
