Greece shares lower at close of trade; Athens General Composite down 0.03%
Credit: © Reuters. – Greece equities were lower at the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Travel , Retail and Household sectors propelled shares lower.

At the close in Athens, the Athens General Composite fell 0.03%.

The biggest gainers of the session on the Athens General Composite were Cenergy Holdings SA (AT: CENEr ), which rose 5.59% or 0.0660 points to trade at 1.2460 at the close. Viohalco SA (AT: VIOH ) added 5.38% or 0.165 points to end at 3.230 and Elvalhalcor Hellenic Copper and Aluminium Industry SA (AT: ELHA ) was up 5.26% or 0.075 points to 1.500 in late trade.

Biggest losers included ThesKi Port (AT: OLTr ), which lost 2.76% or 0.70 points to trade at 24.70 in late trade. Karatzi (AT: KRTr ) declined 2.04% or 0.150 points to end at 7.100 and K.L.M. (AT: KLUr ) shed 1.99% or 0.014 points to 0.690.

Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 54 to 50 and 15 ended unchanged on the Athens Stock Exchange.

In commodities trading, Gold Futures for August delivery was down 0.19% or 2.40 to $1276.20 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in August rose 1.05% or 0.68 to hit $65.58 a barrel, while the August Brent oil contract rose 0.03% or 0.02 to trade at $75.10 a barrel.

EUR/USD was down 0.05% to 1.1583, while EUR/GBP fell 0.14% to 0.8784.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.04% at 94.69.
