Greece shares lower at close of trade; Athens General Composite down 1.05%
Credit: © Reuters. – Greece equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the Telecoms , Industrials and Technology sectors propelled shares lower.

At the close in Athens, the Athens General Composite lost 1.05% to hit a new 52-week low.

The biggest gainers of the session on the Athens General Composite were Techn Olympic (AT: OLYr ), which rose 3.06% or 0.055 points to trade at 1.855 at the close. Motor Oil Hellas Corinth Refineries SA (AT: MORr ) added 2.57% or 0.52 points to end at 20.77 and Piraeus Port (AT: OLPr ) was up 1.37% or 0.22 points to 16.28 in late trade.

Biggest losers included Elvalhalcor Hellenic Copper and Aluminium Industry SA (AT: ELHA ), which lost 6.19% or 0.095 points to trade at 1.440 in late trade. Intralot (AT: INLr ) declined 6.07% or 0.049 points to end at 0.758 and Loulis Mills (AT: LOUr ) shed 4.50% or 0.10 points to 2.12.

Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 80 to 25 and 15 ended unchanged on the Athens Stock Exchange.

In commodities trading, Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.22% or 2.70 to $1204.00 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in October fell 1.14% or 0.78 to hit $67.94 a barrel, while the November Brent oil contract fell 0.60% or 0.46 to trade at $76.81 a barrel.

EUR/USD was down 0.17% to 1.1611, while EUR/GBP fell 0.36% to 0.8980.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.07% at 95.14.
