Israel shares higher at close of trade; TA 35 up 0.58%

Investing.com – Israel equities were higher at the close on Monday, as gains in the Real Estate , Oil & Gas and Communication sectors propelled shares higher.

At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 gained 0.58%.

The biggest gainers of the session on the TA 35 were Melisron (TA: MLSR ), which rose 3.24% or 470 points to trade at 14990 at the close. Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd (TA: TEVA ) added 3.18% or 205 points to end at 6645 and Amot Investments Ltd (TA: AMOT ) was up 2.80% or 54 points to 1980 in late trade.

Biggest losers included Harel (TA: HARL ), which lost 2.77% or 72 points to trade at 2528 in late trade. Mizrahi Tefahot (TA: MZTF ) declined 1.53% or 97 points to end at 6253 and Poalim (TA: POLI ) shed 0.97% or 24 points to 2450.

Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 226 to 149 and 32 ended unchanged on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange.

In commodities trading, Crude oil for March delivery was up 1.25% or 0.74 to $59.94 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in April rose 1.05% or 0.66 to hit $63.45 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract rose 0.80% or 10.50 to trade at $1326.20 a troy ounce.

USD/ILS was up 0.25% to 3.5289, while EUR/ILS rose 0.50% to 4.3309.

The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.09% at 90.14.
