Israel shares higher at close of trade; TA 35 up 0.71%

Investing.com – Israel equities were higher at the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Insurance , Financials and Technology sectors propelled shares higher.

At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 rose 0.71% to hit a new 1-month high.

The biggest gainers of the session on the TA 35 were Harel (TA: HARL ), which rose 3.22% or 82 points to trade at 2630 at the close. Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd (TA: TEVA ) added 3.18% or 232 points to end at 7519 and Azrieli Group Ltd (TA: AZRG ) was up 2.50% or 410 points to 16820 in late trade.

Biggest losers included Cellcom Israel Ltd (TA: CEL ), which lost 3.26% or 80 points to trade at 2377 in late trade. Ormat Technologies (TA: ORA ) declined 2.58% or 500 points to end at 18850 and Partner (TA: PTNR ) shed 2.05% or 28 points to 1340.

Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 221 to 160 and 31 ended unchanged on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange.

In commodities trading, Crude oil for June delivery was down 0.36% or 0.26 to $71.05 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in July fell 0.40% or 0.31 to hit $78.12 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract fell 0.17% or 2.20 to trade at $1288.10 a troy ounce.

USD/ILS was down 0.36% to 3.5881, while EUR/ILS fell 0.80% to 4.2285.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.26% at 93.38.
