Israel shares higher at close of trade; TA 35 up 0.90%

Investing.com – Israel equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Technology , Biomed and Insurance sectors propelled shares higher.

At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 gained 0.90%.

The biggest gainers of the session on the TA 35 were OPKO Health Inc (TASE: OPK ), which rose 6.83% or 47 points to trade at 735 at the close. Tower Semiconductor Ltd (TASE: TSEM ) added 5.45% or 295 points to end at 5705 and Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd (TASE: TEVA ) was up 3.52% or 103 points to 3032 in late trade.

Biggest losers included Delek Group (TASE: DLEKG ), which lost 1.50% or 930 points to trade at 61090 in late trade. Mizrahi Tefahot (TASE: MZTF ) declined 0.55% or 45 points to end at 8105 and Harel (TASE: HARL ) shed 0.53% or 14 points to 2641.

Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 237 to 126 and 46 ended unchanged on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange.

In commodities trading, Crude oil for August delivery was up 3.39% or 1.77 to $53.94 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in August rose 1.87% or 1.14 to hit $62.08 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 0.64% or 8.65 to trade at $1351.55 a troy ounce.

USD/ILS was up 0.06% to 3.6083, while EUR/ILS fell 0.13% to 4.0400.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.11% at 97.157.
