Israel shares higher at close of trade; TA 35 up 0.95%

Investing.com – Israel equities were higher at the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Biomed , Technology and Real Estate sectors propelled shares higher.

At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 rose 0.95%.

The biggest gainers of the session on the TA 35 were OPKO Health Inc (TA: OPK ), which rose 3.95% or 54 points to trade at 1421 at the close. Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd (TA: TEVA ) added 2.93% or 201 points to end at 7062 and Delek Group (TA: DLEKG ) was up 2.58% or 1520 points to 60500 in late trade.

Biggest losers included Mizrahi Tefahot (TA: MZTF ), which lost 0.81% or 53 points to trade at 6474 in late trade. Tower Semiconductor Ltd (TA: TSEM ) declined 0.79% or 43 points to end at 5377 and Nice Ltd (TA: NICE ) shed 0.70% or 270 points to 38380.

Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 284 to 104 and 23 ended unchanged on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange.

In commodities trading, Crude oil for February delivery was down 0.77% or 0.40 to $51.71 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in March fell 0.33% or 0.20 to hit $60.44 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract rose 0.35% or 4.55 to trade at $1292.95 a troy ounce.

USD/ILS was up 0.24% to 3.6871, while EUR/ILS rose 0.12% to 4.2023.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.02% at 95.697.
