Israel shares higher at close of trade; TA 35 up 1.06%

Investing.com – Israel equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Financials , Banking and Insurance sectors propelled shares higher.

At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 gained 1.06%.

The biggest gainers of the session on the TA 35 were Bezeq Israeli Telecommunication Corp Ltd (TA: BEZQ ), which rose 5.92% or 15.1 points to trade at 270.0 at the close. Phoenix Holdings Ltd (TA: PHOE1 ) added 3.98% or 80 points to end at 2090 and Harel (TA: HARL ) was up 2.71% or 68 points to 2578 in late trade.

Biggest losers included OPKO Health Inc (TA: OPK ), which lost 2.92% or 21 points to trade at 700 in late trade. Delek Group (TA: DLEKG ) declined 1.51% or 940 points to end at 61370 and Delek Drilling LP (TA: DEDRp ) shed 0.89% or 9 points to 1006.

Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 241 to 139 and 38 ended unchanged on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange.

In commodities trading, Crude oil for June delivery was up 1.41% or 0.86 to $61.90 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in July rose 1.65% or 1.16 to hit $71.39 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract fell 0.45% or 5.85 to trade at $1295.95 a troy ounce.

USD/ILS was up 0.02% to 3.5751, while EUR/ILS fell 0.09% to 4.0080.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.19% at 97.303.
