Israel shares lower at close of trade; TA 35 down 0.41% – Israel equities were lower at the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Oil & Gas , Banking and Communication sectors propelled shares lower.

At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 lost 0.41%.

The biggest gainers of the session on the TA 35 were Tower Semiconductor Ltd (TA: TSEM ), which rose 2.18% or 260 points to trade at 12160 at the close. Sodastream International Ltd (TA: SODA ) added 1.90% or 460.0 points to end at 24660.0 and Airport City Ltd (TA: ARPT ) was up 1.15% or 50 points to 4380 in late trade.

Biggest losers included Frutarom Industries Ltd (TA: FRUT ), which lost 2.36% or 760 points to trade at 31440 in late trade. Nice Ltd (TA: NICE ) declined 1.49% or 480 points to end at 31650 and Delek Drilling LP (TA: DEDRp ) shed 1.38% or 14 points to 986.

Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 200 to 199 and 31 ended unchanged on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange.

In commodities trading, Crude oil for February delivery was up 1.64% or 0.99 to $61.36 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in March rose 1.35% or 0.90 to hit $67.47 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract rose 0.13% or 1.70 to trade at $1317.80 a troy ounce.

USD/ILS was down 0.07% to 3.4523, while EUR/ILS fell 0.38% to 4.1504.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.31% at 91.84.
